Ware, Grossenbacher, Roth, Richards & Armstrong are victorious at Eagle Raceway’s School’s Out for Summer event

Mother Nature took a shot at cancelling School’s Out for Summer, presented by Southeast Community College and Nebraska Lottery Saturday with early morning rains, but failed. A beautiful afternoon and evening allowed the good-sized crowd to enjoy 13 heats, 4 preliminary features and 5 A Mains, featuring 127 cars at Eagle Raceway.

There were no serious incidents in the preliminary racing.

Boston, Andersen, Armstrong, Schouten & Vanover celebrate Memorial Day weekend with Wins!

Saturday’s Memorial Day Extravaganza, presented by Twin Rivers and Pepsi had some marked differences from the past few weeks. First of all, even though it was breezy the temperature was nicely into the 80’s probably resulting in the crowd being much larger. Armed Forces Night, presented by Twin Rivers and Empire Fence saw a chilly and windy afternoon keeping the fan count down at Eagle Raceway Saturday night, but those who didn’t come missed out on seeing 140 teams going 3 and 4-wide during the heats and preliminary features.

There were no significant incidents in any of the races.

Saturday saw a large crowd of fans show up for Junior Fan Club Night, presented by Moms Popcorn and Avid Realty at Eagle Raceway. A beautiful but breezy day provided great racing with 3 and sometimes 4-wide racing during the heats, with the track being in great shape for the features.

After having caused 3 cancellations out of the first 4 race nights, Mother Nature let up a little Saturday night as the Nebraska Lottery presented Ladies Night. Sunny skies and temperatures in the 70’s led to a cool night with the winds we’ve all grown accustomed to.

The good sized crowd was treated to 158 cars running 19 heats, 7 preliminary features, all topped off with 5 A Features.
