Stutzman, Watts, Baker, Hiatt & Drueke finish first at Freedom Fest

The stands were full of fans, and the pit was full of teams Saturday night as A1 Iron and Pepsi Cola of Lincoln presented Freedom Fest. Everyone was anxious to see some great racing action on the high bans of America’s Home Track and to watch the fabulous fireworks show after the features were completed.

There was a huge sigh of relief when it was announced that Junior Fan Club Night, presented by Colby Ridge and Village Pointe Toyota at Eagle Raceway was a go!!! Despite several episodes of drenching rain during the week, including 2 inches of precipitation Friday night, the Eagle Raceway track prep crew pulled off a near miracle and got the racing surface ready to go and provided a great venue for fabulous action on the high banks.

Highs in the 90’s and a breeze usually leads to a dry and dusty track, but Roger Hadan and the rest of the track prep crew worked all day to be sure that didn’t happen. Eagle Rumble, presented by Theron Ahlman of Modern Real Estate and Demon Decals last night can only be described as GREAT!!! A great crowd of fans, a great car count and great racing all night, coupled with the kids color run at intermission couldn’t be described otherwise.
