The Facts for 2013 Sprints
2013 will bring IMCA sanction and rules to Eagle Raceway for the Sprint car class in an attempt to bolster the sprint car count. We feel that the sprint show has lost its fan appeal with the low car counts and feel it is unfair to the fans to not try a change.

The Eagle Raceway track prep crew had their work cut out for them after a heavy rain Saturday morning, but the large crowd was able to see racing as only Eagle Raceway can give them.
Tadd Holliman had an easy roll-over in turn 1 of the first Budweiser 360 Sprint heat. The 1H also went for a roll on the front stretch of the Nebraska Drive Shaft & Radiator third heat. Neither driver was seriously injured.

Despite over 4 inches of rain Thursday, Eagle Raceway’s track prep crew got the racing surface in shape for some fantastic action Saturday evening. Although there was rain all over the region, and several area race tracks cancelled their cards, the sun broke through and the high banks were tacky and fast.
The preliminary events had no serious incidents.

The finale for the Eagle Nationals, featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars sponsored by MavTV and presented by TBJ Promotions lived up to all of its hype. The strong winds helped keep the very large crowd comfortable in the sunny, hot weather.
Bryan Gossel went up and over in the 6G during the ASCS Sprint B Feature for the only serious incident in the preliminary events.

Night one of the Eagle Nationals, featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series presented by MavTV, and promoted by TBJ Promotions, saw great racing throughout the night in all 3 classes. The large crowd that showed up for Student Break Out Night, sponsored by Colby Ridge and Nebraska Blue Sky Travel were greeted by clear blue skies and balmy temperatures. At intermission students were treated to a “Tour ‘de Track” as they got a ride around the facility.
There were no significant instances in the preliminary events.
