Services for Mick Nelson

Mick came to Eagle Raceway every Saturday night  to help out his Daughter and Son in Law (Michelle and Roger Hadan) up until towards the end of the 2013 racing season. Most of you that have been in the pits for years, knew him as the old man that sat and watched the Pit gate who would wear a stocking cap and a winter coat in 80 degree weather, would sometimes fall asleep on the job, but did whatever it took to keep the Pit area safe. He loved coming to Eagle, and he enjoyed his job, he also thought of a lot of you as good friends of his. We will miss having Mick at the track.

Funeral Service is at 10:30AM Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Bennington, NE. Interment, Prairie View Cemetery, with Honors by the Bennington American Legion.

Visitation- Monday 4-8PM, with family receiving friends 6-8PM, at the Church in Bennington.
